Sequel to 'Leaving Neverland' Documentary Announced for March Release

The follow-up, titled 'Surviving Michael Jackson,' revisits Wade Robson and James Safechuck's allegations and their aftermath, airing on Channel 4 without HBO's involvement.

The new documentary, 'Surviving Michael Jackson,' will premiere on March 18, 2025, on the U.K.'s Channel 4.
Directed by Dan Reed, it follows Wade Robson and James Safechuck as they reflect on the public response to their allegations of abuse against Michael Jackson since the 2019 release of 'Leaving Neverland.'
HBO, which produced the original documentary, is not involved in this sequel due to ongoing legal disputes with Jackson's estate over a non-disparagement clause from a 1992 agreement.
The film includes exclusive access to court hearings and explores the Jackson estate's efforts to challenge Robson and Safechuck's pursuit of legal accountability.
This sequel is part of a planned trilogy, with a third installment expected to cover the trial involving Robson and Safechuck's claims against Jackson's business entities, scheduled for 2026.
