Disney is developing a sequel to the 2003 film 'Freaky Friday' with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis expected to return as mother and daughter who magically swap bodies.
Jamie Lee Curtis recently called Disney to express interest in a sequel and Lindsay Lohan is open to returning to the role.
The sequel will feature a script by Elyse Hollander and the project was inspired by suggestions from fans and interest during Curtis' recent press tour.
The original 'Freaky Friday' film was a remake of the 1976 movie and earned over $160 million at the global box office, cementing itself as a cultural touchpoint for millennials.
