Overview
- The EU Data Act takes effect on 12 September, requiring makers of connected devices to disclose what data they collect and to give users access and portability to third-party services, including easier switching between cloud providers.
- Germany’s nationwide Warntag runs on 11 September at 11:00 with a test alert across radio, TV, apps and Cell Broadcast and an all-clear around 11:45, with the all-clear not yet sent via Cell Broadcast.
- From 1 October doctors and psychotherapists must use the electronic patient record, and landlords with central heat pumps must meter consumption and bill heating costs by usage.
- From mid-September selected airport security lanes equipped with new CT scanners, including at Frankfurt and Munich, will allow up to two litres of liquids in hand luggage, while the 100‑ml rule still applies on unequipped lanes.
- At Oktoberfest the Münchner Stubn goes cashless from 20 September and beer prices range about €14.50–€15.80 per litre, while Spotify raises Premium prices in September with existing customers seeing the increase from November.
