Overview

• More than a million teachers, directors and supervisors are in the CTE intensive from August 25–29 to prepare the return of over 23 million basic‑education students.

• The DOF‑published national calendar establishes 185 effective instructional days for pre‑K, primary and secondary, with the cycle ending on July 15, 2026.
• Winter break runs December 22, 2025 to January 9, 2026 (students return January 12), and Semana Santa runs March 30 to April 10, 2026 (return April 13).
• Eight Friday CTE sessions suspend classes on dates including September 26, October 31 and November 28, and SEP reiterates September 15 has classes while September 16 is the official holiday.
