Overview

• The 2025–26 basic-education year runs from September 1, 2025 to July 15, 2026 with 185 instructional days.
• Classes will not be suspended on September 1 despite President Claudia Sheinbaum’s first written report to Congress.
• September 8 launches a nationwide abuse- and child-maltreatment awareness jornada with mandatory school activities.
• September suspensions include September 16 for Independence Day and September 26 for a Consejo Técnico Escolar session.
