The company says the swap‑friendly design is meant to cut e‑waste and push earbuds toward longer service lives under incoming EU battery rules.

Although they look like twins at first glance, the Momentum 5 is distinguishable by its circular metal logo on the head band. It's also done away with the 4's concentric grooves around the outer ear cups.
