Overview

• The club assigned eight players directly to Belleville, placed five on waivers for AHL assignment if they clear, and returned four AHL-contracted invitees to Belleville camp.
• Ottawa now has 31 players in camp, consisting of three goaltenders, 10 defencemen and 18 forwards.
• Drake Batherson is out at least two weeks with a pulled muscle, creating a short-term opening up front that has Arthur Kaliyev and Ollie Lycksell under close review.
• Defenceman Tyler Kleven skated on Thursday and traveled with the team to Quebec City after an ankle injury earlier in camp.
• Veteran centre Lars Eller practiced with the full group for the first time in camp, with a decision on preseason action still to come.
