- In a solemn plenary on November 26, the Mexican Senate presented the 2024 edition to cardiologist Gabriela Borrayo Sánchez and the 2025 edition to public-health researcher Simón Barquera.
- Borrayo told senators that the IMSS “Código Infarto” protocol launched a decade ago cut national mortality in acute cardiac events from about 28–29% to 7%, attributing the drop to standardized emergency care.
