Sega Reveals Yakuza Kiwami 3 With Dark Ties, Launching February 2026

The Dragon Engine remake pairs a rebuilt Yakuza 3 with a standalone prequel starring Yoshitaka Mine.

  • Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties releases February 12, 2026 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC, with pre-orders live at $59.99 for standard and $74.99 for Digital Deluxe.
  • This is a ground-up remake in the Dragon Engine featuring fully reworked Okinawa and Kamurocho, new and redone cutscenes and voicelines, and both Japanese and English voice acting, with an updated cast that includes Show Kasamatsu and Teruyuki Kagawa.
  • Kiryu’s combat adds style switching between Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami and the new weapon-focused Ryukyu Style, plus a Dragon Boost power-up for heightened attacks.
  • New modes expand the remake’s scope, including Life at Morning Glory orphanage activities and the team battle-style Legendary Baddie: Bad Boy Dragon, alongside fresh minigames.
  • Dark Ties is a separate, included prequel campaign centered on Yoshitaka Mine that uses boxing-based combat with a Dark Awakening state and features content like the Hell’s Arena coliseum.
  • SEGA is broadening series access with Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 arriving on Switch 2 November 13 and native PS5/Xbox Series versions December 8, while Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut comes to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC December 8.
