Overview

• The new title represents the first mainline Virtua Fighter entry in nearly 20 years and is being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
• The teaser, shown at EVO 2025, features Akira and Sarah Bryant battling in a training stage with fluid animations, a slowdown impact effect and a dodge mechanic.
• SEGA has not set a launch date but confirmed a full gameplay showcase will take place at the Tokyo Game Show starting September 25.
• Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, an enhanced remaster, is still slated for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 30 with Switch 2 support to follow.
