Sega Announces Sonic X Shadow Generations Remaster

New Version to Feature Shadow the Hedgehog in Standalone Campaign, Set for Autumn 2024 Release

Sonic X Shadow Generations, a remastered version of the 2011 game Sonic Generations, has been announced by Sega. The game will feature both the original Sonic Generations adventure and a new story campaign featuring Shadow the Hedgehog.
The remastered game will include a mix of classic 2D and 3D levels from Sonic’s back catalog, traversed by the modern Sonic and the shorter, chunkier Sonic of the early 90s.
Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic’s darker and edgier rival, will join the platforming action as a playable character with his own standalone campaign.
The game will feature all-new bonus content that was not in the original game, including new levels and never-before-seen abilities and powers for Shadow.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is set to release digitally and physically in Autumn 2024 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and PC.
