Sega Announces 'Sonic Superstars,' Brings Classic Gameplay to Modern Consoles

Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends return in Sonic Superstars, a new 2D platformer with 3D graphics coming to multiple platforms this fall.
Players can choose to play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Nack the Weasel.
The game showcases familiar side-scrolling gameplay along with new abilities and levels.
Dr. Eggman and Fang the Sniper appear as villains, and the game features a new character designed by the creator of the original Sonic.
Sonic Superstars offers co-op play so friends can team up to defeat enemies and complete levels.
