Overview
- Xiomara Mireya Flores Bazán, 37, was shot inside her Audi around 11 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the intersection of avenidas Túpac Amaru and Los Incas and died after being taken to Hospital Sergio Bernales de Collique.
- Two daughters, ages 6 and 7, were wounded and remain under observation, including the 6-year-old with a gunshot that entered her back and exited at the neck, while her 11-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son were not injured.
- District cameras captured assailants stepping from a dark vehicle and firing at close range after following the family’s car, and a police patrol’s attempt to block the attackers failed as they escaped.
- Investigators documented a shattered driver-side window, multiple bullet holes, and at least 12 shell casings at the scene and inside the vehicle, and a responding Escuadrón de Emergencia Norte officer was injured by glass fragments.
