Overview

• Eight handmade 9mm-style pistols and sixteen magazines were discovered during a routine inspection of the Tripura Sundari Express upon its arrival in Agartala from Punjab.
• The weapons were concealed within two abandoned pithu bags found on the upper berth of a general coach between Badarpur and Agartala.
• The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) have registered a case against unidentified individuals and are coordinating with other agencies to trace those responsible.
