Second Teen Pleads Guilty in Deadly Colorado Rock-Throwing Incident

Nicholas Karol-Chik faces up to 72 years in prison for his role in the death of Alexa Bartell and the injury of multiple drivers.

Karol-Chik admitted to passing the rock that killed Bartell to co-defendant Joseph Koenig.
The plea deal includes charges of second-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Karol-Chik will testify against Koenig, the only defendant still facing trial.

Co-defendant Zachary Kwak also pleaded guilty and faces 20-32 years in prison.
