Second Teen Dies After Lake St. Clair Jet Ski Crash as OPP Probes Single-Vessel Collision

The craft towing an inflatable tube struck a metal breakwall near Couture Beach, with nearby residents rescuing four teens.

  • Police report a single personal watercraft towing a tube hit the shoreline breakwall on Lake St. Clair near Couture Beach around 2 p.m., with no other vessels involved.
  • Witness Marco Malizia told the Windsor Star he saw the watercraft make a U-turn before striking the metal wall and that he jumped in to help pull the teens to shore.
  • The investigation remains active with assistance from the West Region TIME unit, and authorities are seeking witness accounts and video through the Lakeshore OPP.
