Second Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Massachusetts National Guard Member and Daughter

Dejan Belnavis was captured in San Diego, nearly a week after the tragic incident in Worcester, as authorities prepare to charge both suspects with murder.

A second suspect, Dejan Belnavis, was arrested in San Diego in connection to the fatal shootings of Chasity Nunez and her daughter, Zella, in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Chasity Nunez, a Connecticut National Guard member, and her 11-year-old daughter were found shot in a parked car on March 5.
Karel Mangual, another suspect, was previously arrested and both he and Belnavis will be charged with murder.
The arrests followed a dayslong manhunt, utilizing law enforcement technology and a reward for information leading to Belnavis' capture.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shootings or the relationship between the suspects and the victims.
