Overview
- The collision involved a car and a pedestrian on Chase Side in Southgate on 20 September and drew crews from the London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and London's Air Ambulance.
- Two men injured in the crash, William Cassidy and Patrick Cassidy, later died in hospital with William passing on 22 September and Patrick on 30 September.
- A 32-year-old woman was arrested on 21 September on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving with a specified controlled drug above the prescribed limit, and failing to stop; she has been released on bail and is not related to the vehicle occupants.
- Three other passengers in the vehicle—a man in his 20s and two women in their 30s—and a male pedestrian in his 30s were taken to hospital and assessed with injuries that were neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
