Second Accuser Withdraws in Asencio Case, Leaving Only Prosecutor's Charges

The public prosecutor now decides whether to proceed with the case following the withdrawal of both private complaints.

Overview

  • The second complainant, who was a minor at the time, retracted her accusation after saying Raúl Asencio apologized for a “censurable indiscretion” and compensated her.
  • The first accuser had already withdrawn weeks earlier, leaving Asencio facing only the Fiscalía’s request for two and a half years in prison and €10,000 in compensation.
  • The Investigating Court No. 3 in San Bartolomé de Tirajana has opened oral proceedings against Asencio and three co-defendants.
  • For Ferrán Ruiz, Juan Rodríguez and Andrés García, prosecutors seek four years and seven months in prison, a 500‑metre restraining order, and €25,000 for each victim.
  • According to the written accusations, a sexual encounter at Beach Club Amadores was recorded without consent and the video was later sent to Asencio, who allegedly showed it once to another person.
