Overview
- Two thirds of capacity will be sold online in fixed time slots, with one third kept for spontaneous visitors, especially locals and Sommercard or Gardena Card holders.
- Operator reports show sustained peak congestion with 3,000 to 4,000 people on busy days and rush periods around 9:30–11:30 and after 13:30.
- Seceda AG plans to boost transport throughput to 2,400 people per hour on the lower section and from 800 to 2,400 per hour from the mid-station.
- A new parking area about one kilometer from the valley station is proposed for roughly 500 cars and 25 buses, with electric shuttles ferrying day visitors to the lift.
- Provincial approval for the ticketing and infrastructure changes is still pending after an August stakeholder meeting convened by South Tyrol authorities.
