SEC Distributes $808.4M in Revenue for 2023-24 Fiscal Year
Texas and Oklahoma receive reduced payouts as they transition into the conference, while full members see slight increases.
- The Southeastern Conference (SEC) distributed $808.4 million in revenue for the 2023-24 fiscal year, an increase from $741 million the previous year.
- Each of the 14 full-year SEC member schools received an average payout of $52.5 million, up from $51.3 million in the prior fiscal year.
- Texas and Oklahoma, which joined the SEC in July 2024, received $27.5 million each in transition payments, significantly lower than full-member payouts.
- The SEC's total revenue for the fiscal year declined slightly to $839.7 million, attributed in part to the absence of Sugar Bowl-related income during this period.
- The conference anticipates a significant revenue boost in future years due to expanded TV deals, the addition of Texas and Oklahoma, and the new 12-team College Football Playoff format.
