Seattle Sounders Acquire USMNT Forward Jesús Ferreira in Trade with FC Dallas

Jesús Ferreira, a 24-year-old forward with 53 MLS goals and 34 assists for FC Dallas, was traded to the Seattle Sounders in exchange for winger Leo Chu, $1 million in general allocation money, and additional performance-based funds.
FC Dallas could receive up to $2.3 million in allocation money over two years, an international roster spot for 2025, and a percentage of any future transfer fee if Ferreira moves to another team.
Ferreira, a key player for the U.S. Men's National Team with 15 goals in 23 caps, joins the Sounders on a three-year contract with options extending through 2029.
The trade strengthens the Sounders' attack as they prepare for the MLS season, the Club World Cup, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup, with Ferreira citing these competitions as a key factor in his decision to join Seattle.
