• Pennsylvania State Police identified the missing pilot as David Edward Wittmer, 75.
• Wittmer took off between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday from a field near Church Street in Young Township to practice touch-and-go landings and did not return.
• His truck was found near the field, and his cellphone was located inside a nearby camper he was using.
• State Police and the Coal Run/McIntyre Volunteer Fire Department are conducting searches in the area.
• Investigators estimate the likely location within two to six miles of the field but note the ultralight could travel about 100 miles, and they ask anyone with information to call 911.
