• The attack occurred Wednesday on the San Francisquito Trail, where a man knocked a 14-year-old off his bike and punched him, according to the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station.
• Cellphone video recorded by the teen shows the suspect stomping on the e-bike, cutting cables and slashing the tires as the boy pleads for help from passing drivers.
• The teen said the assailant threatened to kill him and had a knife in his hand; he suffered bruises and scrapes but no serious injuries, and his helmet was damaged.
• A driver stopped to help and the suspect fled on an orange bicycle, last seen riding into a nearby industrial area.
