- His phone briefly connected around 1:05pm before being switched off from about 1:45pm, and there have been no confirmed sightings since.
- A missing persons investigation is under way, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact WA Police.
- Employer Fenner Dunlop confirmed he missed the flight, as his partner and mother issued public pleas for him to come home.
- He was carrying only a small 5L bag after recent weeks in Zambia and works FIFO on a 12-on, 9-off roster.
