Overview
- Patrick Evans, 39, was last seen at the Pebbly Beach campground and is believed to have taken a small boat onto the Murray River and not returned.
- Officers from the Murray River Police District opened inquiries when Evans could not be contacted and began an urgent search of the area.
- NSW Police are working with NSW Maritime, Victoria Police, the SES and police dive teams to search the river and riverbanks near Tocumwal.
- Police have released an image and a physical description of Evans — Caucasian, about 175cm tall, thin build, brown moustache and beard and medium-length brown‑blond hair — and say his family are gravely concerned.
- Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 as the cross‑jurisdiction operation continues.
