• Hardy, 55, was reported missing on June 13 after arriving in Colorado Springs June 10 to hike Pikes Peak
• Deputies traced his route via license-plate cameras and social media to the Crags Trailhead, where they located his rental car
• More than 100 volunteers from the El Paso and Teller county sheriff’s offices, the U.S. Forest Service and the Colorado Search and Rescue Association joined the search using drones and K9 teams
• A hiker discovered a body matching Hardy’s description near the summit on June 16 and the El Paso County Coroner’s Office will confirm identification and determine cause of death
• Rescue teams airlifted the remains on June 18 and sheriff’s officials say there is no indication of foul play
