Search Intensifies for Missing Mother in Thuringia

A 36-year-old woman vanished from a holiday village, leaving behind her three-week-old baby.

The woman, last seen on Saturday evening, disappeared from a bungalow in a holiday village near Lauscha, Thuringia.
Authorities have deployed police, firefighters, rescue services, dog units, and mountain rescue teams in a large-scale search effort.
The missing woman, Karolin Schönemann, is described as 1.60 meters tall, slim, with brown shoulder-length hair, and possibly wearing a red and white jacket.
Her infant was found alone by relatives and has been placed under the care of the youth welfare office after a health check-up at the hospital.
Police are investigating all possibilities and have not ruled out that she may be in Mannheim or Weimar, her known previous locations.
