Search Intensifies for Missing Emu Irwin in Wiltshire

Malmesbury Animal Sanctuary fears the bird may have fallen into a river, but hopes it is sheltering nearby.

Irwin the emu has been missing from Malmesbury Animal Sanctuary since Monday morning.
Sanctuary staff are concerned Irwin may have slipped into the nearby River Avon, which was partially flooded.
Despite being strong swimmers, Irwin's disappearance is unusual as he has never left the field in over five years.
Volunteers and the local community are actively searching for Irwin, checking gardens and fields along the river.
The sanctuary has shared pictures of emu feathers and droppings to help the public identify signs of Irwin.
