Search for Missing University Student Intensifies as New Clues Emerge

Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student, was last seen on March 6, walking toward a Punta Cana beach with friends and later staying behind with Joshua Riibe, a 22-year-old identified as a person of interest.
Authorities discovered Konanki's clothing, including a white sarong and flip-flops, on a beach chair near where she vanished, but no signs of violence were found.
Riibe claimed they were swept out to sea by a wave while swimming and that he brought her back to shallower waters before losing sight of her; his account has faced scrutiny due to inconsistencies.
Riibe's passport has been confiscated, and he remains under police escort at the resort while being questioned by Dominican authorities, though he has not been charged with any crime.
Interpol has issued a yellow notice for Konanki, and extensive search efforts involving drones, boats, and helicopters are ongoing, with foul play not ruled out.
