Search Enters Third Day for German Tourist Missing on Skye

Police urge anyone on Blaven or near Loch Slapin on Thursday to share sightings or dash-cam footage.

  • Matthias Beutin, 57, was last seen at the Blaven car park around 11:30am on Thursday after planning to climb Bla Bheinn.
  • Skye Mountain Rescue reported on Saturday evening that there was still no sign of him after another full day of searches.

  • Police Scotland asked the public to call 101 quoting reference 2588 of October 9 and noted he wore a blue waterproof jacket, brown waterproof trousers, dark brown Meindl trekking shoes, and a small black and orange backpack.
