- AIDA Cruises announced they are in close contact with the missing crew member's family, expressing their thoughts are with them and the AIDAperla crew.
- After halted for the search operation, the cruise ship AIDAperla was released after dark and continued its journey towards La Coruña in northwest Spain.
- The ship immediately stopped and returned to the spot where the incident was believed to have taken place, joining the search operation.
