Overview
- Emergency services were called about 11:15pm Friday to Schnapper Point Drive after reports a small two-person boat overturned roughly one kilometre offshore.
- One man was rescued by another vessel and assessed by paramedics with no serious injuries.
- The second occupant, believed to be in his 20s, remains missing as the multi-agency search resumed on Saturday.
- Water Police, the Victoria Police Air Wing, Life Saving Victoria, HEMS and the coast guard are conducting coordinated marine and aerial searches.
- Authorities urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers, noting Bureau of Meteorology data indicated conditions were not unusually severe.
