She was last seen on hotel surveillance footage walking to the beach with a group at 4:15 a.m., later staying behind with Joshua Riibe, a 22-year-old identified as a person of interest.
Riibe told authorities they went swimming despite red-flag warnings for rough surf, and a large wave separated them; Konanki has not been seen since.
