Overview
- The man overboard alert was received at 9:48 a.m. local time on November 27 when the ship was about 16–16.5 nautical miles northwest of Punta de Teno, Tenerife.
- Tenerife’s Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre launched a sea and air operation using the Helimer 201 helicopter, Salvamar Menkalinan and Salvamar Mizar vessels, and the Sasemar 103 aircraft.
- The search was paused overnight and resumed at first light on November 28, with the Civil Guard’s Cuco helicopter rotating with Helimer 201 and the Río Guadiato patrol boat joining.
