Search Called Off for 3 Missing after Navy Contractor Plane Crashes

A U.S Navy contractor's aircraft carrying 3 people crashed near San Clemente Island off the coast of Southern California.
Search crews found debris from the Phoenix Learjet about a mile southwest of San Clemente Island but called off the search after 24 hours.
The identities of the 3 missing individuals have not been confirmed and the cause of the crash remains unclear.
Multiple agencies aided in the search efforts over 334 square miles but did not locate any survivors.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident which involved a civilian aircraft contracted to shuttle personnel by the U.S. Navy.
