Sean Gunn Cast as Maxwell Lord in New DC Universe

Character to be introduced in 'Superman: Legacy', set for release in July 2025.

Sean Gunn, known for his roles in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'The Suicide Squad', has been cast as the villain Maxwell Lord in the new DC Universe overseen by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
Maxwell Lord, previously played by Pedro Pascal in 'Wonder Woman 1984', is a ruthless business mogul who seeks to control metahumans for his own purposes.
It's unclear if Maxwell Lord will make a cameo in the upcoming 'Superman: Legacy', but the character will be referenced and will appear in future DC projects.
The new DC Universe will also feature David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, among others.
'Superman: Legacy' is set to release on July 11, 2025.
