Sean 'Diddy' Combs has filed an appeal to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals after being denied release on a $50 million bond by U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter, Jr.
Combs faces charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, with prosecutors presenting extensive evidence from electronic devices and witness testimonies.
The rapper has been held in the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest on September 16 and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Judge Carter and U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky previously denied bail, citing concerns over Combs' potential risk to the community and likelihood of witness tampering.
Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that Combs will not accept a plea deal, asserting his innocence and his intention to stand trial to fight the charges.
