Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Diageo Settle Legal Dispute

Combs withdraws all allegations and lawsuits, Diageo now solely owns Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila brands

  • Sean 'Diddy' Combs and liquor giant Diageo have settled their legal dispute, ending a contentious battle in which Combs accused the company of racism and neglecting his Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila brands.
  • Combs has withdrawn all allegations and will voluntarily dismiss his lawsuits against Diageo, according to a joint statement.
  • Following the settlement, Diageo now solely owns the Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila brands, and no ongoing business relationship exists between the two parties.
  • The lawsuit, filed by Combs in May 2023, alleged that Diageo had not given Cîroc and DeLeón the same kind of marketing and promotion it had given other properties in its portfolio, and accused the company of treating his product line as 'urban' products.
  • The settlement comes as Combs faces multiple accusations of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied.
