Overview

• Stache the Sealyham Terrier won Best in Show at the 22nd annual National Dog Show, beating out over 1850 dogs representing 199 breeds and varieties.
• Stache's handler and owner, Margery Good, praised his performance and balance, noting that he deals easily with multiple things happening around him.
• Before winning Best in Show, Stache won the Terrier group, going on to compete against the winners of the other six categories: Sporting, Working, Hound, Herding, Toy and Non-Sporting.
• Pumpkin the Dalmatian, winner of the Non-Sporting Group, was named second place, or Reserve Best in Show.
• Stache was the No. 2-ranked Terrier and No. 12-ranked All-Breed show dog in America before his win, and this marks his 49th Best in Show prize.
