Seahawks activate linebacker Jordyn Brooks from PUP list 8 months after knee injury

Jordyn Brooks suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on Jan. 1 and had surgery in January.
The Seahawks activated Brooks off the physically unable to perform list on Monday.
Brooks started 33 games over the past two seasons and was second in the NFL in tackles last year.
Brooks' return boosts the Seahawks' linebacker group.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Brooks was close to returning throughout training camp.
