- The CEBL club announced Thursday that it signed Jalen Harris, who was selected 59th overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2020 NBA Draft.
- Harris is a two-time CEBL All-Star who averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists over 11 games with the Saskatchewan Rattlers last season.
- The 26-year-old guard also spent time in the NBA, the G League and with professional clubs in Italy, China and Puerto Rico.
- Head coach and general manager Mike Taylor called Harris a dynamic scorer whose versatility and shot-making will add a competitive edge to Winnipeg’s backcourt.
- Winnipeg, which sits at 1-4 with four straight losses, expects Harris to be cleared to play Friday in Brampton before Saturday’s game in Scarborough.
