Söder to Honor Karl-Heinz Rummenigge With Personal Prize at Bayerischer Sportpreis on Saturday

  • Markus Söder lauded Rummenigge as an extraordinary figure on and off the pitch and as a strong ambassador for Bavaria.
  • Rummenigge logged 310 Bayern appearances with 162 goals, later served as vice-president and CEO, sits on the club’s supervisory board, and holds UEFA lifetime honorary membership after serving on its Executive Committee until February 2024.
  • Other announced honorees include Franziska Preuß, Justin Engel, Felix Brych, FC Bayern’s women’s team, the BLSV, boxer Christina “Tiny Tina” Rupprecht, and wheelchair rugby player Moritz Brückner.
