Overview
- SCREEN Academy has launched its first annual postgraduate fellowships for students nominated by their film schools to pursue advanced film studies.
- The fellowships cover tuition and living expenses at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata and Whistling Woods International in Mumbai.
- Selected fellows will receive masterclasses, internships and ongoing professional guidance from academy members including Guneet Monga, Payal Kapadia, Resul Pookutty and Anjum Rajabali.
- A newly convened Resident Critics Panel comprising Dr Priya Jaikumar, Priyanka Sinha Jha, Shubra Gupta, Nikhil Taneja and Anjum Rajabali will set evaluation standards for both the fellowships and the SCREEN Awards.
- SCREEN Academy has assumed governance of the SCREEN Awards, with its members serving as the voting body to recognise artistic, cultural and technical excellence.
