Overview
- Measures roll out from the last week of September for the Dasara–Diwali–Chhath travel surge that lifts daily footfall above two lakh.
- Designated holding zones will stage 1,500 passengers on Platform 1 and 1,125 on Platform 10 to decongest platforms and FOBs.
- Key foot overbridge landings will operate one-way during 4–9 a.m. and 8–11 p.m., when flows top 10,000 passengers an hour.
- Selected trains will run via the Sanathnagar–Ammuguda–Maula Ali–Cherlapalli section with extra halts at satellite stations such as Cherlapalli.
- A 200-car basement parking on the Platform 10 side is now open, the 12-minute toll has been scrapped, a new Metro link from Platform 1 is under way, and a 24x7 control room with police and RTC coordination plus RailOne app guidance will support operations.
