ScottishPower Names BOSLAN to Oversee Manufacturing for 960 MW East Anglia Two

The Accenture-owned firm will centralize inspections to cut delivery risk ahead of 2027 offshore work.

Overview

  • ScottishPower Renewables selected BOSLAN, an Accenture company, to supervise manufacturing and quality control for the East Anglia Two offshore wind farm.
  • The mandate includes factory inspections, component quality management, pre-assembly quality assurance, oversight of onshore and offshore logistics inspections, and coordination of construction and installation activities.
  • East Anglia Two will have 960 MW of capacity from 64 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 DD turbines on Sif monopiles, with turbines and foundations to be installed by Cadeler.
  • The project is located in the southern North Sea about 33 kilometers off the Suffolk coast, with offshore construction expected to begin in 2027 and operations targeted for 2028.
  • Project leaders say using BOSLAN as a single supplier, combined with Accenture’s data and AI expertise, will help ensure quality and timely delivery on a complex build.
