Scottish Gang Leader Admits to Smuggling Ton of Cocaine in Bananas

Jamie Stevenson, one of Britain's most wanted men, pleads guilty to directing a £76 million cocaine trafficking operation.

Stevenson, nicknamed 'Iceman,' orchestrated the smuggling of cocaine hidden in banana shipments from Ecuador.
The drugs were seized at the Port of Dover in 2020, with a purity of 73% and a street value of £76 million.
Stevenson was arrested in the Netherlands in 2021 after fleeing the UK during an international manhunt.
Five associates also pleaded guilty to related charges of drug trafficking and organized crime.
The operation involved extensive collaboration between UK and international law enforcement agencies.
