- Johor Motorsports Racing confirmed Scott McLaughlin will drive the No. 2 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R alongside factory drivers Alexander Sims and Nicky Catsburg in the Pro category.
- McLaughlin takes the seat originally held by Jordan Love for the Sep. 12–14 Suzuka 1000km, marking his first major GT3 race since this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.
- JMR has expanded to a two-car entry by adding a Pro-Am No. 99 Corvette for Princes Jefri and Abu Bakar Ibrahim with Finnish driver Konsta Lappalainen.
