Scott Jeff Convicted of Murdering Two-Year-Old Isabella Wheildon

The toddler suffered fatal injuries from escalating abuse, while her mother was convicted of allowing her death.

Scott Jeff, 24, was found guilty of murdering Isabella Wheildon, a two-year-old girl, after an eight-week trial at Ipswich Crown Court.
Isabella’s mother, Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell, pleaded guilty to causing or allowing the death of a child and two counts of child cruelty but was cleared of murder.
Prosecutors described Isabella as a healthy child who endured escalating brutality after Jeff entered her life in May 2023, ultimately leading to her death on June 26, 2023.
The couple carried on normal activities for days after Isabella’s death, pushing her body in a buggy, going shopping, and visiting a pub before being arrested on July 1, 2023.
A post-mortem revealed Isabella suffered extensive injuries, including fractures and skeletal trauma that caused her death; the pair are due to be sentenced on December 13, 2024.
