Scooter-Riding Gunman Goes on Deadly Shooting Spree Across NYC, Leaving One Dead and Three Injured

Thomas Abreu, 25, was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, and gun charges after a shooting spree across Brooklyn and Queens.
Abreu allegedly fired at pedestrians while riding an illegal scooter, killing an 87-year-old man and injuring three others.
The motive behind the seemingly random attacks remains unknown. Abreu claimed he was being pursued by "the Russians and the Chinese."
The spree lasted 27 minutes and spanned six locations before Abreu was apprehended by police.
Abreu used an illegal "ghost gun" with an extended magazine during the attacks, according to police.
